The book of Tehillim is one of the twenty four books of Tanach which was mainly written by King David. It contains a hundred and fifty perakim (chapters). Tehillim is one of the most widely read books in the Tanach. It has been used throughout history as a source of prayer for communities throughout the world. Additionally many of its perakim are incorporated into the daily prayers, shabbat, holidays and most of the occasions that we celebrate.
