The ten days from Rosh Hashanah till Yom Kippur are called Aseret Yeme Teshubah. It is a time of Teshubah or repentance before Yom Kippur, the day of judgment. During this period, we add extra prayers in the Tefillah and there are some extra songs that we say in the Selichot.
